6 new Covid-19 cases reported Wednesday, Humboldt County remains in yellow tier

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 6 new cases of Covid-19 Wednesday. Humboldt County remains in the yellow tier of the state’s reopening plan.

County Health Officer Dr. Frankovich is once again cautioning residents as recent case rates are on an upward trend, and a small daily increase could move us into the orange tier. Right now, health officials are monitoring 25 active cases.

Of the 592 total cases, 371 people had contact to a known case, 132 were travel related, and 81 a result of community transmission. Eight cases are still under investigation. One more recovery has been reported as well bringing that number to 557.
