The Bureau of Land Management will be conducting controlled burns

LACK’S CREEK, Ca. (KIEM) – The Bureau of Land Management will be conducting a controlled burn at Lack’s Creek, West of Hoopa.

The burn will be conducted through December 24th, as weather allows.

Personnel will be covering about five acres per day between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The debris piles were created as a part of the lacks creek forest health and restoration project- which is designed to improve the diversity of vegetation in the area, and improve the wildlife habitat.
