Suspect arrested for Samoa homicide

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A suspect is arrested in connection to the homicide of 34-year-old Perry Baily on November 15th in Samoa.

26-year-old Travontae Javoni Hutson was arrested by Eureka Police on December 10th. He was known to have outstanding warrants.

When the officer attempted to contact Hudson, he fled on foot into a home on the 200 block of West Hawthorne Street.

Hudson was taken into custody. He is being held without bail and is facing charges of obstructing an officer, possession of methamphetamine, and out of county warrants. A murder charge has also been requested.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
