One fatality after car crashes into an embankment

WILLOW CREEK, Ca. (KIEM) – Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called out on Wednesday to a fatal crash on Highway 299 at Mile Marker 32 near Willow Creek.

The call went out at about 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

A single car had gone off the road, down a steep embankment, and landed on its roof.  Fire crews with rappelling gear were also called to the scene.

One person was ejected from the car, while another one was still trapped inside. C.H.P. reports one fatality resulting from.the accident.
