33 new Covid-19 cases, 189 recoveries reported in Humboldt County Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department reports 33 new cases of Covid-19 Wednesday. The total case count is now 2,171 with health officials monitoring 545 active cases.

There are 15 people currently hospitalized, and 4 are in the ICU. Northern California’s ICU capacity has dropped to 17.6%. 189 recoveries were also reported.

The County dashboard now includes an unknown category for transmission type. This is for people who are unable to be contacted, not returning calls after initial contact, or are unwilling to cooperate with Public Health.
