Car prowler caught in McKinleyville

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca. (KIEM) – A car prowler is behind bars after deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office caught him in the act.

On Thursday morning, deputies were called out to the area of Little Pond Street and Winchester Avenue in McKinleyville.

That’s where someone reported seeing 37 year old, Thomas Manuel Prince going around checking car doors and having burglary tools.

When the deputies located Prince, he was in possession of stolen items, the burglary tools, and some pepper spray.  More stolen times were also recovered.

Prince was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on burglary and outstanding warrant charges.
