ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM)-The Arcata Food Pantry will move to a new location next month to accommodate a wider demographic.

The food pantry new home will be at the Arcata House Partnership Annex, located at 501 9th Street, across from the Arcata Transit Center.

Food will be distributed every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. masks and safe social distancing are required.

Development Director Carly Robbins with Food For People says it’s all about location.

“It’s going to be really accessible for those using bus transportation it just a couple block from the plaza,” she said. “It’s going to open up some availability for students, it’s more centrally located to HSU and also working with Arcata House Partnership, we are going to be able to bring in some more HSU interns which is really exciting so, it’s a lot of partnership, we’ll be able to get food out closer to the plaza. “
