4.1 Magnitude Quake East of Petrolia

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 4.1 magnitude earthquake, two and a half miles east of Petrolia, California.

It happened around 2:08 p.m. on Thursday, August 17.

People report feeling the shaking as far north as McKinleyville.

There are no reports of damage or injuries at this time.
