District 1 Supervisor Roger Gitlin Announces Expansion of a Community Service Program

DEL NORTE (KIEM)- Del Norte County District 1 Supervisor, Roger Gitlin, has announced the expansion of a community service program involving parts of juvenile hall.

Minors detained in the hall will participate in various community projects to improve the Del Norte County.

On Friday, July 19th at 8:30 a.m., youths will participate in a Wood Chip Dispersal Project at the County Animal Shelter along dog trails near the shelter. Roughly 6 to 12 probation-supervised youth will participate in the Wood Chip Dispersal Project.
