PG&E to replace 90 power poles from Eureka to Weaverville

EUREKA – You can expect to see some low-flying helicopters throughout the weekend and part of next week as PG&E gets to work on a power pole project.

PG&E is replacing 90 power poles from Eureka to Weaverville to improve electrical reliability.

They’ll be flying Saturday through Thursday from 8AM to 5PM to benefit customers in Humboldt, Trinity and Mendocino counties.

They want residents not to be alarmed, and to know that their landing and takeoff zone will be on Freshwater Road in Eureka.

“If you see that activity, that’s just us, PG&E, flying the helicopters,” said PG&E Spokeswoman, Deanna Contreras, “We’re upgrading the power poles for reliability, to improve reliability for our customers.”
