Statewide minimum wage increases by fifty cents

EUREKA, CA. – Minimum wage increases across the state this week.

In 2016, Governor Jerry Brown signed SB-3, with aims to raise the state’s minimum wage to $15 dollars by 2022, incrementally.

The step taken as of this New Year’s Day – a fifty cent increase for those with 26 employees or more – up from $10.50, to $11.00 hour.

One local business explained to handle the hikes, they’ll be upping their prices.
