Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) Volunteers joined Assemblymember Jim Wood for a day of trail beautification.

The Roll Up Your Sleeves Community Day held by Northcoast Regional Land Trust at the Freshwater Farm Reserve gave individuals an opportunity to work side by side with Jim Wood and to do something positive for their community and what better way to give back than to restore a little natural beauty?

“A lot of volunteers are out right now pulling invasive vegetation. Doing a lot of other stewardship for this property that really tries to blend a lot of different uses, from agriculture to public use, we also have a three quarter mile nature trail,” said Executive Director, Dan Ehresman, of Northcoast Regional Land Trust.
