One arrest made following Hoopa shooting

HOOPA – One man is arrested following an early morning shooting in Hoopa.

Sean O’Neill of Hoopa is believed to be involved in the incident that left two with gunshot wounds, just before 2AM Sunday.

The victims were in a Mitsubishi Montero in a driveway on Hoopa Airport Road when they were shot.

They fled the scene in the Montero to Hoopa Ambulance, where they were transported for treatment.

Investigators found suspect O’Neill residing on Tish Tang Road and Highway 96, where there they located evidence of the shooting and a carjacking.

O’Neill was arrested and the case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Sheriff’s Office.
