Arcata Fire District opens their doors to the community

ARCATA – Saturday is the day to come out and see first-hand what resources the Arcata Fire District uses when responding to fires.

Their annual open house is held every year in October for Fire Prevention Week. From 12 to 2 on Saturday the public is welcome to come and get a close-up and hands-on look at their equipment.

The Arcata firefighters look forward to this event every year and say it’s important to interact with the community members who they protect.
