Fostering Futures: Champion for Children


Rose Baker has fostered 473 children in Humboldt County, who’ve gone on to have over a hundred children themselves, filling her home and her heart with love. In part two of Fostering Futures: Champion for Children, I’ll introduce you to Rose, who explains the heartbreaking and inspiring reasons why she took on such an endeavor.

There are also informational meetings held each month that you can attend to find out more about becoming a foster parent, with no commitments. The next info night is coming up on December 4th from 6-8pm at the Church of the Nazarene in Eureka.

Also, if you’re inspired to help a struggling child, but don’t have the time or resources to become a full-time foster parent, you may want to consider joining CASA as a volunteer to spend time with and advocate for a child and the services they need.
