Kimberly Felder’s mental health report to be heard in December

EUREKA – Kimberly Felder, the woman accused of attempting to kill her own daughter, was back in court Tuesday.
Felder pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity after investigators say she was attempting to perform an exorcism on her 11-year old daughter at Centerville Beach on June 16th. The mother of three allegedly struck the girl with driftwood and shoved sand in her mouth and eyes before bystanders intervened.
The courts had assigned two doctors to perform a mental health evaluation and was expected to hear those reports Tuesday.
Instead they will now be heard on December 5th.
Felder remains in custody on $600,000 bail.
