ARCATA- As of right now, Rob Smith is still the head football coach at Humboldt State. The athletic department told News Channel 3 Friday afternoon it have not received any resignation papers from Smith.

The veteran coach was expected to resign as early as Friday after ten years with the HSU football program. Smith has led the Jacks to two GNAC titles and a playoff appearance in 2015.

On Thursday, we spoke with interim athletic director Duncan Robins who described the relationship he has with Smith.
