Walk for MS

EUREKA – Balloons led the way for the Eureka High School walk for Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and many local businesses donated funds, food and drink for this event.

Around 100 Humboldt Residents joined the 1000’s across California who all walked this month to raise money for research to treat and cure MS. Over 12,000 people in northern California and 2.5 million people world wide have been diagnosed with MS. All the money raised goes to the National Walk MS Foundation, who will put the funds towards research projects.

The Eureka group estimates they will raise somewhere between 20 and 30 thousand dollars this year. Last year they raised over $22,000.
