One person receives major injuries in Eureka crash

EUREKA, CA. – One person sustains major injuries after a vehicle crashes into a utility pole in Eureka.

Just before 4AM on Monday, the California Highway Patrol, along with other emergency personnel, responded to the solo crash.

Witnesses say the victim was ejected from the vehicle – their current condition is unknown.

The incident shut down parts of R Street, between 4^th and the Samoa Bridge at Woodley Island.

CHP is investigating the crash.
