Former HSU football player Zerr selected in CFL Draft

ARCATA- Another former Humboldt State football player is drafted to play in the pro’s, but this time, north of the boarder.

Running back Blair Zerr was selected by the Edmonton Eskimos with the 65th overall pick in the CFL Draft.

Zerr played for the green and gold during the 2014-16 seasons and recently became a Canadian citizen.

His father Blair Zerr SR., also played in the CFL and won the Grey Cup while with Calgary.

Training camp opens in just two weeks and Zerr plans on moving to Edmonton. The Eskimos open the 2018 season June 14 at Winnipeg.
