For 23 years people have gathered at the Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse on Memorial Day weekend to honor those who’ve lost their lives at sea.

This year something was missing. Noticeably, the lighthouse. The ceremony took place where the name placards are located, those bear the names of 239 people who were lost or buried at sea. A way for the fishing village to pay homage to the fisherman and sea farers who once lived there.
