Crescent City, Ca., (KIEM)- A field behind a Crescent City grocery store is no place for a seal or sea lion. All the same its where this little guy, dubbed “Wasabi” affectionately by rescuers, ended up. With the help of Crescent City Police officers Miller and Lo, and California Highway Patrol troopers Culver, Restad, Krueger and Wilson, Wasabi was rescued from the field and brought to the North Coast Marine Mammal Center. The early morning rescue, according to the mammal rescue, was definitely a success.
