Roadwork in Eureka: end of the week traffic warnings

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM)- If your morning commute takes you near the Red Lion Hotel, you can still expect delays in that area. The City of Eureka continues to work on sewer infrastructure repairs from 7:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. daily. Sidewalks will be effected in the days to come: removed and repaired to make way for sewer lateral clean outs. In the meantime, the city thanks it’s residents for their patience.

The Red Lion repairs are not all that’s on the docket. The City of Eureka will be performing Water Main reconstruction work on Buhne Street from Williams Street to Pine Street in starting this coming Monday, August 27th. That work will be underway at least until Friday.
Those repairs will cause lane closures from 8:15 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. daily.
