7th annual salmon, oysters, ales, and rails keeps museum chugging along

Somoa., Ca (KIEM)- Celebrating 125 years of local logging and railroad history the North Coast way.

The Timber Heritage Society’s annual open house fundraiser, brought hundreds of North Coast residents to the Samoa Roundhouse. Where people took a trip a speeder train, learned about the historical progression of tools and steam engines while sampling local brews, fresh salmon and oysters. The money generated from the event will go straight to restoring the historic roundhouse. For one volunteer this museum preserves much more than trains it preserves memories.
