Loose cows cause crash on Highway 101 south of Loleta Drive

LOLETA, Calif. (KIEM) – Several cows in the roadway on Highway 101 near Loleta cause a crash, temporarily shutting down both southbound lanes.

Just before 9:00PM on Tuesday, crews were directed to the crash just south of Loleta Drive, where two cars went down an embankment after hitting a cow.

Traffic was re-directed as first responders cleared cows from the roadway, and removed one dead cow.

It is still unknown if there were human injuries.
