From seeds to fruition: CR agriculture class contributes to Friday Night Market

Shively, Ca. (KIEM) – It was a welcome back for a handful of students at the College of the Redwoods, as they begin building the roots of their education.

At the 36 acre Shively Farm, CR students are building relationships while growing food. Some students worked through the summer to sell produce at Humboldt State University, as well as Eureka’s Friday Night Market. It’s a hands-on class that encourages students to learn skills that puts food on the table, and open doors of opportunity.
