Proposed Rancheria Casino Hotel Town Hall

TRINIDAD, Calif – Trinidad residents turn out in big numbers Thursday night to learn more about a proposed hotel at Cher Heights Casino.

The Humboldt Alliance for Responsible Planning hosted a town hall meeting with the Trinidad Rancheria at City Hall.

Community members asked questions about the proposed project. The some of the major issues those in attendance brought up were the size of the project, if Trinidad’s water system could handle the 100 room, 6-story hotel and the short notice for the meeting.

The Rancheria is also proposing an interchange to the property from Highway 101. Those ideas are still in the works.
