Robbery in Rio Dell: Teens charged with marijuana robbery

RIO DELL, CA., (KIEM)- A 16-year old and an 18-year-old are behind bars at the Humboldt County Jail after allegedly stealing five pounds of marijuana and two fire arms in Rio Dell.

The two allegedly visited a house in Rio Dell two days ago and tried to buy marijuana. During the transaction, one of them apparently pulled a gun. Witnesses told police one of them said, “This is the way we do it in Sacramento.” According to officers with the Rio Dell Police Department, they then stole several pounds of marijuana. They were later found in a Toyota Camry with Sacramento plates. Later apprehended by CHP, the two also had $4400 of cash in the car. Both are charged with robbery, drug possession and possession of a stolen fire arm.
