Harbor District candidates earn endorsements ahead of November election

EUREKA, Ca., (KIEM)- The sierra club has announced Monday, they are officially endorsing Richard Marks in his bid for 4th Division Harbor Commissioner.

They say they’re making the move because of mark’s leadership roll in the EPA’s emergency cleanup of the abandoned Evergreen Pulp site in 2013. Founded by conservationist John Muir, the Sierra Club aims to support environmentally conscious causes and candidates. Marks is running against Marian Brady, who has been endorsed herself by the Humboldt County Sheriff, Supervisor Rex Bohn, the Humboldt Bay Harbor Working Group and Larry Doss the current Humboldt Bay Harbor District Commissioner.
