Arcata police respond to DUI crash

The Arcata Police Department took to Instagram on Friday, after an allegedly drunk driver crashed and totaled their vehicle late Thursday.

Here is what Arcata Police wrote on the social media account:

One of our Officers once said that driving drunk is one of the most selfish crimes. In a split second a drunk driver can irreversibly destroy families. Last night we responded to a drunk driver that literally split his car in two. Thank God no one was injured. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!! If you find yourself in a car accident that was caused by a drunk driver, you may want to find a law firm that might be able to help you with your case. You can visit somewhere like to find out more, or visit a law firm more local to you. #nothingfunnyaboutdrunkdriving #savealifecallacab #uberit#designateddriversarecool #thereareoptions #drivingdrunkisntoneofthem #dontbeselfish #MADD #youwillgotojail#thistimehegotlucky #notgoodwhenyoucanreadbothlicenseplatesatthesametime #buzzeddrivingisdrunkdriving
