Some of Humboldt’s brave firefighters returned home Monday evening, after their deployment to the Camp Fire in Butte County.

This footage comes from an Arcata Fire District firefighter, among those who served in the Humboldt Strike team,

Humboldt Bay Fire says that strike team 2075 C was released on Monday. They worked alongside Miranda, Briceland, Arcata, and Blue Lake firefighters.

As of Monday night, the Camp Fire is blamed for 79 deaths, and has decimated 151,272 acres of land, and with that, over 11,700 homes. More than 15,000 buildings in total are considered destroyed.

About 600 firefighters were released from duty between Sunday and Monday, but 4,736 remain assigned to the Camp Fire, as they near having the fire line three quarters of the way contained. As of Monday, containment is up to 70%.
