Crescent City woman dies in solo crash

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM)- A Crescent City woman is dead after her vehicle crashed into a tree.

According to the CHP, just after 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, the 48-year-old woman was driving northbound 101 south of Crescent City when her Nissan Xterra went off the road and struck a tree.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The northbound lanes were closed to traffic for three hours.
