Behind the scenes of Humboldt Bay Fire’s water rescue team training

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Humboldt Bay Fire is well-known for their work protecting the community from fire dangers, but what some residents may not know, is that their team also includes water experts.

The department’s water rescue team was previously disbanded due to budget cuts, but in June they were reassembled. As of Thursday, they are keeping their skills sharp, by training in the Humboldt Bay for realistic water-related emergencies. Our Kylie Walker brings us a closer look.
