Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office holds first award ceremony

DEL NORTE COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) –Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office held their first ever award ceremony tonight.

Sheriff Erik Apperson hosted the event at Elk Valley Rancheria, to recognize Deputies and Sergeants in a number of categories, for their outstanding work and service to Del Norte County. Tonight, he handed out special Heroism Medals.

Apperson says he wants staff to know they are appreciated, and he plans to hold more events like this.
