Holiday Craft Market raises money for scholarship fund

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) Artists and crafters come together for a two-day event to share their talents and skill with our community.

Arcata Recreation organized the 19th Annual Holiday Craft Market at the Arcata Community Center, this weekend. A place to shop, socialize, and raise money for a great cause.

Shoppers were encouraged to donate a dollar, upon entry, for the Youth Development Scholarship Fund. A fund that, in 2017, awarded 424 individual scholarships totaling over $13,000. Last year, the Holiday Craft Market Fundraiser also contributed a little over $6,000 to the Youth Development Scholarship Fund.
