Male suspect breaks into vehicle at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park

PRAIRIE CREEK REDWOODS, Ca. (KIEM) – Redwood National and State Parks need the public’s help in identifying a male suspect who broke into a vehicle on the Newton B Drury Parkway.

It happened in early November where visitors parked their vehicle at Prairie Creek to go on a hike. When they returned, they saw a suspicious male looking in their vehicle and witness him break into the passenger’s side window.

The owners had their dash camera running during the incident and it captured his face. When they confronted him, he ran to a Silver Dodge pickup and fled north on the parkway.

Anyone who knows this man is asked to call the Ranger’s Office.
