Traffic stop turns into a drug bust

A traffic stop turns into a drug bust in the Pine Hill area early this morning.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office pulled over a vehicle around 1:30 a.m. This, near the intersection of Higgins and Meyers Avenue.

Upon further investigation, deputies learned the passenger, 33-year-old Donald Howard, was on probation. During a search, 65 grams of meth, 16 grams of heroin and digital scales were found.

Howard was charged with possession and sale of a controlled substance. In addition to his felony warrant for diversion of funds and possession of marijuana.
