Del Norte Supervisors will decide to move forward with cannabis license with Elk Valley Rancheria

CRESCENT CITY, Ca., (KIEM)- The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors will decide if they should move forward with a cannabis license with the Elk Valley Rancheria.

The tribe is asking for cannabis-related activity on the tribal reservation to no longer be authorized under the Del Norte County code. They want to impose their own tribal tax.

It will be lower than the rate by the Del Norte cannabis tax ordinance. The tribe agrees to provide the county a 20 day notice of new licenses of any operator under tribal law.

The Supervisors meet tomorrow morning at 10 on 981 H Street in Crescent City.
