ARCATA, Ca., (KIEM)- The California Highway Patrol is tackling DUIs on Super Bowl Sunday

They’re teaming up with the national Highway Traffic Safety Administration to remind everyone to have a designated driver or use a ride-share service on the day of the big game.

They will have extra officers out to ensure the safety of North Coast residents. There were no DUI arrests and one crash during the Super Bowl last year.

If you see a suspected impaired driver on the roads Sunday, you can help by calling 911. Make sure you give the vehicle’s description, location, and the license plate number.
