EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – The City of Eureka is experiencing a high volume of demand for mental health services, but not enough supply. This is according to a Eureka-based therapist, who’s spent the last thirty years witnessing the decline of available services.

For those who can’t pay out of pocket, but are fortunate to have medical insurance, are often waiting months for a session. Redwood News spoke with one local psychiatrist who says he has a 180 person wait list.
