Former Miss Hoopa Sentenced to 120 Days in Jail

Hoopa Valley Reservation, Ca., (KIEM) Former Miss Hoopa will spend 120 days behind bars and must register as a sex offender.

25-year-old Kayla Brown is charged with molesting a Hoopa girl back in 2014 and 2015.

A judge also ordered 5 years of probation and 150 hours of community service.

Authorities said at the time of the relationship with the 14-year-old girl, Brown was 21 and the victim saw her as a mentor.
