Man sustains head injuries, suspect on the loose

MCKINLEYVILLE (KIEM)- Just before 11 Monday night, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office responded to a residence on the 1400 block of Reasor Road in McKinleyville for a possible gunshot victim.

When deputies arrived on scene, they located a male victim was appeared to be pistol-whipped. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

As of 11:45pm Monday, deputies were still searching the area for the suspect.
