Caltrans say they will close Last Chance Grade again if needed

DEL NORTE COUNTY, Ca., (KIEM) – The Last Chance Grade in Del Norte County is re-opened with one-way traffic control. This, after it was closed again Monday night.

The section of roadway is located on Highway 101 between Crescent city and Klamath. A large amount of rocks started falling onto the roadway late Monday evening and forced the closure.

There is no word yet on when the roadway will be cleared. Staffers at Caltrans say they will close it again if they have to.
