Cannabis Equity Program Moves Forward

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to approve a program aimed to benefit local cannabis farmers.

It’s all part of Project Trellis. The project is designed to support the cannabis industry here on the North Coast. The project has three parts: a Micro-Grant component, a Marketing Campaign, and an Equity Program. In a unanimous vote, The Board of Supervisors approved the equity program.

The next steps for the County is to fill out an application with the Bureau of Cannabis Control. In order to receive grant funding, the County must submit to the state by April 1st.
