Blue Lake City Council unanimously passes Traffic Ordinance

BLUE LAKE, Ca. (KIEM) – After two readings, the Blue Lake City Council unanimously passes its Traffic Ordinance.

With the decision, there will be more stop signs in Blue Lake. Some two-way stops will turn into four-way.

One area in particular is the intersection at First Avenue and G Street where the Post Office is located. One resident who didn’t want to talk on-camera told Redwood News the four-way stop is needed because motorists drive too fast in that area. However, a former Blue Lake resident disagrees with the new ordinance.

The traffic ordinance will go into effect in one month on April 28th.
