Local Softball Leagues Helping St. Bernard’s Student with Medical Costs

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A local softball league is raising money to help a St. Bernard’s student, after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Emilee Blanchard is a sophomore at St. Bernard’s. She underwent surgery to have the tumor removed.

To help the family with medical costs, Redwood Fast Pitch reached out to the community. In the true Humboldt spirit, community members are giving back. The League says, Emilee is like family to them and they want to show their support.

Redwood fast pitch is having a fundraising event this weekend. Anyone who wants to help the family, can visit the drop off site at Redwood Fast Pitch Fields tomorrow from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M.
