Two arrested during trespassing enforcement

Humboldt County, Ca., (KIEM) Two people with outstanding warrants arrested during a patrol of private property.

It happened last week in the Garberville/Redway area.

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies and Fish and Wildlife Wardens told several trespassers to leave the property during that patrol.

They also found illegal trespass encampments with an abundance of
solid waste, illegal water diversions, unpermitted multi-story structures, solid waste in waterways, oil contamination in local waterways from use of generators, in addition to drug paraphernalia and narcotics.

In the process 40-year-old Christopher Bartley and 44-year-old Kristie Ann Polton were arrested on outstanding warrants.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages community members to report ongoing trespassing in their neighborhoods.
