24th Annual Godwit Days Flocks People from Out of Town


ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM) – Calling all bird watchers, the 24th Annual Godwit Days is in town.

People from all over came to the Arcata Community Center to learn about all kinds of birds. Participants got to experience wildlife through field trips, lectures, workshops, and much more.

One in attendance came from Sonoma County to see the different birds.

“[There are] so many amazing people here and so many amazing events. Just so many amazing birders. I love the whole birding community here. And it’s such a beautiful, beautiful area for birding. The Coast, I mean it’s just one of my favorite places,” said Ellen McKnight, Sonoma County resident.
