Trinidad City Council Selects New Councilmember

TRINIDAD, CA (KIEM) – He’s lived in Trinidad for just six months and now is a member of the City Council.

David Grover was appointed to the open seat by Councilmembers at Wednesday night’s meeting. He takes over for Jim Baker who resigned to help take care of his wife who is battling cancer. Grover was the only applicant following a 30-day search.

He is a 51-year-old Humboldt State University student from upstate New York. Grover has over 35 years of experience in commercial and residential construction.  He’s ready to bring his experience to the Council.

Grover will be sworn in at a special Trinidad City Council meeting on May 22nd.
