Local Red Cross Member Assists Disaster Relief In The Midwest

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) — One member of the local Red Cross chapter is heading to Arkansas to help communities affected by the recent natural disasters. This is Glenn Kaminsky’s 50th trip with the Red Cross. He started volunteering back in high school and has been doing it ever since. Now he is heading to the Midwest.

His journey starts in Little Rock where he is helping flood victims. His job as the life, safety, and asset protection manager is to ensure that people are being moved around safely, assets are put where they need to be, and check the community is safe in the temporary shelters that are set up.

He is traveling around the Arkansas and Missouri area. He plans to be there for at least the next two weeks.
